    AUTOMOTIVE TELEMETRICS DEVICE

    Thaumatec designed, implemented, integrated and tested HW and SW of the prototype of a comprehensive Telematics device.

    The First Notice of Loss (FONL) is the initial report made to an insurance provider following loss, theft, or damage of an insured asset. This device was the first telemetrics device that reports FNOL and measures drivers’ attention and moods, scoring the insurance risk better than other devices and increases the safety on the street.

    LWM2M IN EDGE SYNC PoC

    Our team provided research of the LwM2M protocol characteristics and the tooling behind and testing LwM2M within the current Edge Sync ecosystem to check if both technologies can be seamlessly integrated.

    The PoC should evaluate server-side, client-side and PoC-grade end-to-end integration of the LwM2M with Helix Edge Sync platform and the Edge Sync Agent. The results should define the fundamentals of implementing the communication between the Edge Sync Backend and the Edge Sync Agent in the LwM2M-compliant approach including quantitative and qualitative comparison of the native Edge Sync and LwM2M protocols.

    ONAP IN EDGE SYNC PoC

    For the Proof of Concept we had to set-up ONAP and installed it on locally deployed OpenStack cloud infrastructure. During our investigation the team found out that ONAP has limited applicability for Edge Sync, proposed alternatives and stopped together with our client this PoC.

    Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP) project delivers an open-source platform for orchestration and management o network services. It uses cloud technologies and network virtualization to offer services, achieving both faster development and greater operational automation.
