GDPR fundamentals
We believe that the processing of personal data should serve mankind. However, the right to the protection of personal data is not absolute and the benefits of its social function must be balanced in accordance with other fundamental rights using the principle of proportionality.
This Privacy Policy reflects and adheres to the fundamental rights, freedoms and principles recognized in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

What is personal data?
Personal data is information about an identified or identifiable natural person (the “data subject”).
An identified or identifiable natural person is someone who can be, or has been, directly or indirectly identified, on the basis of identifiers such as name, address, contact details, an identification number, IP address, CCTV footage, access cards/co-tags, audio-visual or audio recordings of a person and location data.

We collect data from all contact forms, including questionnaires, job applications, etc. We take the utmost care to keep this information safe. The collection of this data is necessary to communicate with customers, candidates and other interested persons.

How long do you store my data?
Thaumatec stores data for a period no longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes of its processing.
In the case of data processing for recruitment purposes, Thaumatec deletes data after a decision is made regarding the employment of a candidate. Data may be kept longer if a candidate has explicitly consented to further processing of their personal data for future recruitment purposes.
In all other cases, we store data for a period not longer than 5 years.
What rights do I have over my data?
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You can also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that the processing of personal data by Thaumatec violates the provisions of the GDPR.
Please contact us to exercise your right to this information and/or to request its deletion. If it is not possible to fulfil your request, we will inform you for what reason and on what legal basis your request cannot be fulfilled.
