It’s a busy time for us – yesterday our CEO was talking about the global success of Thaumatec during ITCorner Summit and today we traveled almost 1000 kilometers for the DSP Valley New Year’s Event – Member Meeting where we will introduce (again) our company to the members of this amazing tech cluster!

DSP Valley groups more than one hundred members working in the area of smart electronic systems and embedded technologies. Being a part of the group equals having access to networking platform, knowledge, and experience. DSP Valley really pays attention to its members and supports their innovations.

The cluster was created in 1996 and from this time it has engaged in many activities which resulted in having global respect. Thanks to that DSP Valley is now one of the most valuable societies in the industry. The headquarter is in Leuven, Belgium with a branch office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

DSP Valley unites universities, research institutes and all range of the companies – from growing startups to global corporations. Thaumatec is a perfect example of how a partnership between universities and private companies can create great outcome – cooperation with Wroclaw University of Science and Technology was an excellent proof of our growth.

Our CEO, Krzysztof Berezowski will once again introduce our growing company to all the members of the cluster and will describe the profile of our company together with our flagship technologies.

ITCorner Summit is the second edition of respected congress dedicated to managers of IT companies. The idea of the meeting is to build openness, share experiences, create business ethics and look for the new paths to grow the businesses – all together from the point of view of ITCorner community. This year, the event will be dedicated to four topics:

Strategy
Organization culture
Go global
Business environment
The event is created for owners and managers of software companies from Poland, but also to all the enthusiast of polish IT industry. More than 300 experts, managers and entrepreneurs were invited.

“This year we invited speakers with experience of managing IT companies. They have broad experience with growing IT companies from small teams to international corporations” – says one of the organizers.

Over 20 speakers were invited to share their knowledge about how to properly build the IT company in Poland – Krzysztof Berezowski, CEO of Thaumatec will be one of them. He will give a presentation about “How to build an international company with a strategical partner and dynamically growing international customers”.

During the presentation, he will tell more about how Thaumatec is going global, how we get the first international customers, what decided about the success of our company and what are our thoughts and goals for the future.

We believe in long-term relationships – that’s why it’s so important for us to have direct contact with our customers, even if our offices are a thousand miles from each other. At the end of November, we are going to visit sunny California to meet our current customers and have a series of promising business meetings!

This month we are taking part in the event organized by DAWG – Dolnośląska Agencja Współpracy Gospodarczej called “Mission California”. Few most promising companies in our region were invited to take part in this initiative. The idea is to connect local businesses from Lower Silesia with partners (companies, investors etc.) from the United States. All the participants will take part in a series of meetings and events in Silicon Valley.

The United States is still the biggest economy in the world and the most innovative at the same time. That makes us considering this market as a perfect target for our high-quality services. Especially the area of Silicon Valley with their automotive business is an amazing place for our flagship technologies – like LWM2M for example.

Networking is a key factor for every business, that’s why during our trip we will take part in Venture Capital Summit – one of the biggest, global meeting of investors, where we will have a chance to meet most important, local entrepreneurs and companies. We will also have a time for our current customers in Silicon Valley, to discuss the projects that we are realizing together now.

We also have a plan to visit IoT Tech Expo North America – this World’s Largest IoT Event Series will bring together key industries from across the globe for 2 days of top-level content and discussion. Key topics examined include smart building & facilities management, building the connected supply chain, intelligent city and transport management, smart grid data management and analytics, asset monitoring and management, delivering smart connected new products, and more.

We strongly believe in cooperation with local universities (that’s why each year we are a sponsor of Team Projects Conference and we are taking part in HR-dedicated events). Tomorrow (29.11) we are taking part in Kampus Kariery – HR event organized by the University of Wroclaw. We will look there for a new people who can join our team and support us in the non-IT area – if you want to start your career in marketing, sales or administration we will be happy to meet you in our office!

This time we are looking for people who want to join us for a paid internship. We prepared three separated positions in different areas. First one is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start his career in marketing – you will have a chance to learn how to write interesting content for SEO or social media, build PPC campaign or use WordPress.

For the second position, we are looking for an ambitious purchasing manager to help us to improve the way how we manage our orders and stock. Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include researching new vendors, tracking deliveries and updating order records (e.g. dates, invoices and discounts.). We are also looking for an ambitious sales process assistant to help us to implement a CRM tool in the company and optimize our sales funnel.

Let’s meet tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm, in the D building of Law, Administration and Economy Faculty of Wrocław University– where we can discuss the possibilities of your development!

We love to develop our skills and knowledge – and there is no better way to do it than interact with other people doing the same thing. That’s why we decided to visit Embedded Conference Scandinavia in Sweden (second year in a row), but this time we will have our presentation there!

Stockholm produces the second-highest number of billion-dollar tech companies per capita, after Silicon Valley, and in Sweden overall. We consider it a very interesting market for the Internet of Things and Embedded systems.

On 6-7th of November, the city of Stockholm will host the biggest embedded conference in Europe – Embedded Conference Scandinavia. During two days we will have an opportunity to meet more than 2000 delegates from the biggest international suppliers of embedded products and solutions.

ECS has grown steadily each year since its start in 2006 and has developed into a leading international event offering a world-class conference, a compact exhibition with the leading companies and the latest technology, popular social activities and the annual Swedish Embedded Award.

Smart Systems Summit appeared from connecting two events – Bits&Chips Smart Systems conference and DSP Valley’s Smart Systems Industry Summit. Bits&Chips is a respected website dedicated to the smart industry, DSP Valley – one of the most respected smart systems clusters. Only great things can be a result of this cooperation.

This year, the event will be dedicated to three topics – smart health, smart mobility and IoT, with top international speakers of today explaining their vision on tomorrow. Autumn will be a very busy time for us – in upcoming weeks we will visit a series of respected embedded and IoT events around the world. We are starting next week with World of Technology & Science in Utrecht, Netherlands. If you are there and want to discuss Embedded or IoT projects – let’s grab a coffee!

World of Technology & Science in Utrecht was created in 2014 from three leading trade fairs – HET Instrument (organized since 1956), Aandrijftechniek and Industrial Processing. The idea of combining events gives exhibitors and visitors a new experience of technology trade fairs. The event is starting next Monday – 02.10 and will finish next Friday – 05.10

This time the event will connect five different chapters for the wide range of visitors:

World of Automation
World of Laboratory
World of Motion & Drives
World of Electronics
Industrial Processing
Thanks to this, each topic will get their own exhibition program and will be targeted to different groups of visitors – everything in one location. We are especially interested in automation, motion and drives and of course – electronics.

Time is passing by, but some things are not changing – again we decided to be a Gold Sponsor of Team Projects Conference (Konferencja Projektów Zespołowych) on Wrocław University of Science and Technology. It’s our 5th time in a row!

Each student of Politechnika needs to develop their own technological project to pass the exam. These projects are interdisciplinary and are performed by the undergraduate students as an obligatory course during the penultimate year of study.

This time we helped students to develop two projects:

– LoRaMIG – it’s a project of mobile LoRa network gateway. With huge battery, solar panel and waterproof case, you can use it in almost any condition and place where you need access to LoRa. For sure we will use it during our development projects.

– GeLoRacja – it’s a project dedicated to the security of seniors. LoRa based device is showing the information if the senior is still in the object or he is moving somewhere.

Last Monday we had a pleasure to host students working on projects under our company. During their visit, they had a chance to make a presentation of their projects in front of our team. As always, we were very happy and satisfied with their results and final solutions.

We believe that by sponsoring those kinds of events we are supporting students in their development, it’s also a great opportunity to exchange know-how and experience with the specialists from the university. Thaumatec loves to be involved in challenging projects that can influence the way we are working and leaving.

For sure next year we will play important role in next edition fo Konferencja Projektów Zespołowych.
